It's Different in Florida, Lecture with Wae Nelson, Florida Gardening Magazine

Saturday, May 19, 2006 was bright, beautiful and breezy as 120 people gathered to hear the Publisher of Florida Gardening Magazine share his hard-earned wisdom and experiences with gardening in this tropical state. He emphasized that "full sun" in Florida really means "part sun" for most plants. He talked about soil enrichment, mulches, insects and just good common sense gardening practices. Nelson answered all of our questions until we had no more and then chatted with visitors.

The Nelsons paused for a moment for this photo with the owners, Diane Rexroad and Jim Haines.

Penny Ward came from Indiantown and was also a winner of a subscription.

Note: Two others were winners in our drawing but things happened so quickly, we were unable to get photos of everyone. For this, we apologize.
