Third Annual Amateur Photo Contest

Rules 2008

• Photographs may be taken during our June, July or August Plant Sales during garden hours (9am to 3pm).  However, if you have already taken a suitable photo, please feel free to submit it. No tripods please. No extensive Photo Shop modifications will be permitted or prior published photographs will be accepted.

• All photographs should be submitted to Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens by our September 6 date to qualify for judging.

• Photographs should be a maximum size of 8 x 10, on photo quality paper, unframed.

• Limit of three photo entries per entrant. Only one award permitted to each entrant.

• Personal information required: Name, Address, City, St. Zip, Phone number and E-mail address. Also please identify the "top" of your photograph on the back of the picture so that it may be displayed properly. This personal information should be presented with and attached to each photo entry.

• Judging will be by: local Artists,  Garden Owners, Jim Haines and Diane Rexroad. Photographs will become the property of the owners and may be published on our web site or used in brochures. Photo Credit will be given if your photo is used.

• Photographs will be displayed at our September Plant Sale at Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens and prizes will be awarded on Sunday, September 21 at 10am.

• Winners will be notified after Judging so that they may be in attendance to accept their gifts.

• Family and associates of our garden are not permitted to enter this contest.
