Introducing Natives Into Your Landscape

Introducing Natives into your Landscape was presented by Martin County Master Gardener, Peggy Kane on Saturday, March 15th at Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens. Because of the current drought conditions and the water restrictions, everyone was very interested in what to do to keep their gardens at peak performance.

Peggy Kane is happy to share her passion for native plants with visitors.

A rapt audience takes in evry word and asks many questions later.

Even though they are the owners of TRBG, Diane and Jim learn something new from each guest speaker.

Peggy is very knowledgeable on all plants but specializes in native plants. She is also the current President of the Martin County Master Gardeners.

Kane talks about a corky stem passion vine.

As usual, after our lectures, we give away a few plants to some lucky visitors and all they have to do is: have the winning ticket and pose for a photo with their plant.

Marquis Glick got the best seat in the garden and also left with a plant.

James Shearer, one of our past guest speakers, came out to learn and support fellow-master gardeners.
