Charles Boning visited Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens on February 16, 2008 to speak on Florida Fruits. Boning is a naturalist, illustrator and attorney who lives in Palm City. He has an acre of land on which he has over 100 trees of various species.

Charles Boning talks about his favorite subject "fruit".

Boning answered questions during his lecture.

Even though it was a warm day, no one left early.

Boning answered all questions with more information at his fingertips than could be shared in a short space of time with the audience.
Lots of people compensated for this time lack by purchasing his book and getting an autograph.

Boning was surrounded with stained glass from "No Monku Studios"

Boning chats with interested audience members.

Prizes were awarded to participants as usual with our free drawing. Winners are shown below.

Lois Looby was thrilled to receive this autographed-copy of "Florida's Fruiting Plants and Trees".

Gabriella Guettler took home this beautiful Bolivian Sunset plant.

Joe took notes throughout the lecture and was happy with his Crown of Thorns plant.

Victor and Marilyn Kallit were winners of this Euphorbia plant, "Diamond Frost".

Sita Anderson and Raecine Shurter stopped for a minute to enjoy the stained glass art.
