Artists in the Garden, January 2007

On January 26, 2007 Kelly Arnold again presented a "Lesson in Plein Air" to a "couple" of artists who were
willing to brave the cold. Cynthia and Bob Hinkelman painted for 3 hours in our beautiful setting and
benefited from Kelly's individual attention. It turned into a beautiful day and Cynthia (a return participant)
and Bob were both pleased with their efforts and rushed home to complete their paintings

Kelly demonstrates mixing colors and getting started.

So many colors to choose from...

To view of the same subject.

Measure your angles....

Colors are beautiful.

Proud artist. Good job, Cynthia.

Bob just getting started.

Bob works quickly to capture the moment.

Back home for finishing touches and refinement.

And a good time was had by all!
The next "Lesson in Plein Air" at TRBG will be held on February 23, 2007. Contact us, TRBG, or Kelly Arnold at 772-219-8990

On December 1, accomplished local artist Kelly Arnold hosted "A Lesson in Creating en Plein Air" at TRBG and was joined by nine other local artists.  All were excited, on this beautiful, breezy day, to be painting, some for the first time en plein air, at Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens in Stuart.

Diane Rexroad & Jim Haines personally welcome each artist to the Garden.

Kelly talked about what is important when painting in the Garden with changing shadows.

Kelly open the lesson with a demo painting.

Keeping an eye out for any questions.

A critique of the beautiful watercolor painting by Marlene Pate.

Spending time with each artist and answering questions was a large part of the personalized lesson.
